The Random Lift Button

Chance-generated tours could also be produced by the means of transportation one uses... Reading the very inspiring Pasta&Vinegar blog I came across the wonderful Random Lift Button project by Chris Speed. The button takes your decision in what level to go to.

It reminds me of a game we played as kids. My family was visiting my cousins family who had moved to Porto, Portugal. The most exiting thing for me coming from a small town in northern Germany was not being in a foreign country but the fact that my cousins were living in a "skyscraper". So we started playing the elevator game which meant we went in the elevator without pressing any buttons. After a while the doors closed and the light went out. Now the exitement started because one never knew how long it would take until someone would call the lift and like this generate our little chance-ride...

Reminds me of the old door-bell prank everybody used to do as a child: just press a number of door bells (or preferably all of them). In my view we were ahead of our time, performing an advanced experiment in social networking...
