Marking your way

Using the waymark function in the GPS Mission client you can leave a virtual marker at your current position. You can later use those markers in the mission designer in the web.

To leave a waymark (Nokia version) – go to the status screen (third screen). Select “Drop Waymark!”

  1. Select “photo” – remember to open the lens protection on Nokia N95s! If the built in camera dialog starts, press exit.
  2. Then select “share”… actually you are sharing the picture only if you are in a mission, otherwise it is uploaded for your eyes only.

All your markers appear on your map (as little pin icons). Hänsel and Gretel could have used this tool to find out of the woods.

Waymarks are a useful tool for creating interesting missions. Missions are more interesting if you include less obvious stuff, hidden places – things that don’t show on the satellite pictures. Waymarks help you find the right spots for placing checkpoints. In fact you can turn a waymark into a checkpoint with a single click in the mission designer.
